Health Media: Partner of Success
It is true that the media, in all its aspects, is the fourth power, the driving force and the primary means for knowledge dissemination and expansion of awareness. The media, in all its forms, has proved to be an operational tool for each project, through its role as a fundamental authority in society that monitors, evaluates and guides.
The media is increasingly interacting with the health sector for several reasons, mainly for its growing role, effectiveness and importance in addition to the growing need of health institutions and the people who are exposed to more diseases, to exchange information and be more aware of the existing developments as well as the great results achieved by this cooperation and its success that benefit everyone.
Therefore, health media is not a luxury but a need that reflects the changing reality through its work on two levels: public health awareness, which has become essential in our daily life and shedding light on the activity of the health sectors and medical facilities as well as the latest developments in this field, which would raise the health level of individuals in general, and transform health experiences into positive behavioral patterns.
In this context, the media has made great progress in monitoring medical achievements at the national, regional and international levels. It also succeeded in covering the increasingly successful medical conferences in the Arab world, including conferences on health media and awareness-raising. We, therefore, feel that we have a greater responsibility. However, cooperation between the health sector and media institutions will only lead to success.
